AHRC meeting minutes for January 29, 2011The Meeting was run by then-vice-president Denise.
Show and tell featured:
A robot chassis from Robotshop
A kit from nerdkits
Dale demonstrated his Polybot 9000 with newly installed 1N23 diode waveguide receivers doing a Beacon Killer with a 10GHz microwave beacon. The Beacon Killer was also demonstrated with obstacles and succeeded in hitting the beacon several times.
Dale demonstrated how Gatorboard SKP (Some Kinda Plastic) does lensing of microwaves in certain orientations.
Two Lego based devices were shown, one shows text from a linear array of LED's mounted on a swinging arm, the other was a printer.
Raffles were held for development kits for MSP430 and Renesas microcontrollers.
